Abdulah
Abdulah spent most of the war not as a soldier, but as a refugee in Croatia. He was able to return to his hometown of Brcko in nothern Bosnia, but not to his home. He and his wife now live in a shanty near his old home. Though they have been given some aid from the international community, they have had to sell most of it to eat and have not been able to get the one thing they want the most -- their old home back. Abdulah might seem to be a victim of ethnic cleansing, but his story is a bit more complex. It brings new meaning to the phrase "You can never go home again."For
